On the weekends, don't be surprised if you find a number of residents enjoying the lake in their ski boats and on their jet skis. Tubing, wakeboarding, skiing, wake-surfing, and plenty more are common activities you will see residents enjoying. During the week, you will see much less activity and probably a fisherman or two catching school size & trophy bass alike. Don't be surprised if you see some residents showing of their firework displays on The Fourth of July and New Years Eve.
Lake Pretty Chain of Lakes - The only chain of lakes in Odessa, Florida! Lake Pretty connects to Lake Josephine (48 acres) and Lake Rock (54 acres) by way of scenic canals. IMPORTANT NOTE: although this is a true chain of lakes, vessel size is limited between Lake Pretty and the other two lakes. Because of the very small bridge on Hutchison Road which separates Lake Pretty from the canal which leads to Lake Josephine, full size boats cannot pass under the bridge. However kayaks, canoe's, small "john" boats, and jet ski's can pass under the Hutchison Road bridge. The canal which connects Lake Josephine to Lake Rock is navigable by full ski-sized boats and pontoon boats.
Location - Located in the Northwest quadrant of Tampa, Lake Pretty residents enjoy very quick access to the Veterans Express (SR-589). The Citrus Park Town Center is only 7 minutes to the south, and all new grocery, shopping, and restaurants are just minutes away on the Hwy 54 corridor. Tampa International Airport (TIA), International Plaza, or Westshore Plaza is a short 20 minute commute. Commutes to downtown Tampa average 25 to 30 minutes. If you enjoy the Florida Beaches, Clearwater Beach and St. Pete Beach range from a 30 to 40 minute drive. Orlando and all of its attractions are just an 1 ½ drive to the East in central Florida.
